We do window washing! But you can too, and I promise it’s not as bad as you think!
At Dust Bunnies of Hampton Roads, we are usually blogging abut how we can do the cleaning for you. But, here’s a spring cleaning quick fix you might want to try yourself! Now the weather is finally warming up and feeling more like spring. We have spring cleaning on our brains. And in our families, we are especially interested in cleaning up the outsides of our homes after a long winter. While some are raking, or planting, or mowing; I’m thinking about window washing.
The idea of washing all your windows can seem overwhelming. But I have an easy window washing hack that you will want to try. This is how I clean the outsides of my windows several times a year. It’s easy, it’s economical and it provides great results.
Windex Outdoor Glass and Patio Cleaner is a concentrated soap. I comes ready to use in a bottle that attaches to your water hose. You can spray down all of your exterior glass as well as patio furniture without worrying about the solution harming your grass or plantings. I can was all the windows on my home with one bottle.
I find that just the soapy solution from the spray nozzle is enough to remove the grime and rinse clean on my windows. But, if it’s been a while between washing, or your glass has some extra dirty spots, Windex makes another great product that can be used in conjunction with this one. The Outdoor All-In-One Cleaning tool can reach hard to access windows and provide more scrubbing action than the sprayer alone.
While I am out there, I like to do a little scrubbing on my outsides sills with a soft nylon brush. After the dirt that collects in your window tracks is loosened, those will spray off with the hose just as clean as your window glass.
Whichever method you prefer to use, both products just need a clean rinse with water and they dry streak free. Window washing could not be easier with these two products from Windex. If you give them a try this spring I bet you will be hooked like I am. If you’re already a fan, we would love to hear your comments. Maybe you have some insider tips of your own?
Happy Spring Cleaning!
